CBS Radio San Diego seeks a Marketing/Promotions Coordinator to assist in the execution and fulfillment of all promotions for KyXy 96.5.  Duties and responsibilities include preparation of on-air contesting components, copy writing, execution of digital and social media elements, event planning and preparation for all on-site station appearances, prize fulfillment and completion of all required documentation associated with this task, management and maintenance of prize-winner database, assuring legal and corporate compliance of all contests and promotions. This position requires attendance at occasional evening and weekend events.  The ideal candidate has knowledge of the station's brand, lifestyle and culture, with an understanding of the demographic and competitive landscape of the San Diego market.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and time management skills

The ideal individual will assist the Promotions department in effectively and efficiently executing events with a large visible street presence, as well as executing promotional elements and initiatives on-air and online. This is a part-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 years of accounting experience in radio or the media industry is required. The Market Controller has overall responsibility and management of the market's financial operations and oversees the finance and traffic department of the cluster. Responsibilities will include overseeing all accounting processes, preparation & reporting of monthly financial statements, developing monthly forecasts and annual budgets and administering SOX compliance. In addition, this person will implement accounting and internal control policies and guidelines, as well as help develop operational strategies for the cluster. Strong financial and analytical skills are a must as well as strong knowledge of general ledger systems, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, banking, budgeting & forecasting required.  Candidates must have strong communication skills to effectively interact on a regular basis with entire market and corporate management and strong Excel skills; Oracle accounting system experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and sound financial and accounting practices is required. Prior management experience and a 4 year degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA desirable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Responsible for the complete oversight of all market business operations.
Oversee the activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, credit/collections and budgeting for the market.
Perform month-end and year-end accounting closings.
Report monthly financial performance and variance analysis.
Prepare annual budgets for the market.

Manage and oversee finance and traffic staff.

Leveraging Nielsen’s local television and audio panels, Nielsen and CBS collaborated to demonstrate the additive power of combining media buys for major ad campaigns.
Increases occurred across all sectors including spot, digital, network and off-air revenue.
Brands averaged a sales lift of more than $6 for every $1 spent on radio ads - an ROI double that of even the best results from many recent studies of digital or TV media.
Study finds that only 40 percent of web ads are viewable, meaning that at least half of the ad was in view for more than a second. The rest were out of the view of the user visiting that page.
Like so many Sir Galahads on the quest for the Holy Grail, businesspeople continue to search with near-religious ardor for "the perfect ad campaign."
